Alright, so MAC Paint Pots... another thing I'm quite late to try what with high street dupes sprouting up everywhere around now. My first Paint Pot was Let's Skate from the last winter collection. It took forever to find a MAC store where it wasn't sold out, but once I tried it I was hooked! So the next shade I bought was Painterly, many people's go-to eyeshadow base.
Also, MAC Paint Pots... noch so eine Sache, die ich ziemlich spät aufgegriffen habe mit den ganzen Drogeriemarken, die jetzt Dupes herausbringen. Mein erster Paint Pot war Let's Skate aus der letzten Winterkollektion. Ich habe ewig gebraucht, um einen Laden zu finden, wo er nicht ausverkauft war, aber sobald ich ihn ausprobiert hatte, wurde ich süchtig! Die nächste Farbe auf meiner Liste war Painterly, die Viele gerne als Lidschattenbase benutzen.
If you're unfamiliar with Paint Pots, they're essentially hard creamy eye shadows that dry to a powdery finish. Even on my fairly oily eyelids they just stay and stay and stay... and stay. I've been getting about 10 hours of wear out of both of my Paint Pots and only then do I start seeing slight creasing.
Für die, die mit Paint Pots nicht vertraut sind: Es handelt sich hier grundsätzlich um einen harten Cremelidschatten, der dann zu einem pudrigen Finish trocknet. Selbst auf meinen relativ öligen Lidern hält er - und hält und hält und hält.... und hält. Beide Paint Pots kann ich etwa 10 Stunden lang tragen und erst dann fangen sie an, ein wenig zusammenzulaufen.
The product is housed in a small glass jar which looks very pretty, but as it's also quite heavy I wouldn't want to carry it around with me in my hand bag. I usually just apply it with my fingers, but if you're particular about hygiene issues (or you have to be cause you're using it on someone else) you could always use a brush to apply it.
Das Produkt ist in einem kleinen Glastiegel verpackt, der sehr hübsch aussieht, aber leider auch relativ schwer ist, also würde ich ihn nicht in meiner Handtasche herumschleppen mögen. Normalerweise trage ich es immer mit den Fingern auf, aber wenn ihr hygienemäßig etwas besonders seid (oder sein müsst, weil ihr es auf jemand anderem auftragt), könnt ihr ja einfach einen Pinsel dazu verwenden.

Basically, this product is the ninja among make-up items. I shall never ever go on another night out without wearing this under my eye make up. There really isn't a bad thing I could say about this, other than that it got me completely hooked and I want every single shade of Paint Pots now. Life can be so hard...
Wenn ihr auf den Swatches oben kaum was erkennen könnt, dann liegt das daran, dass es so auch sein soll (jedenfalls glaube ich das). Painterly ist nur ein klein wenig mehr rosa als mein natürlicher Hautton und auf den Lidern ist er praktisch unsichtbar - er schafft lediglich eine gleichmäßige Leinwand für den Lidschatten, den ich darüber auftrage. Und weil er so ein neutraler Ton ist, kann ich draufpacken, was ich will. Dank seiner klebrigen Fähigkeiten hält mein Augen-Make-up den ganzen Tag. Und hält und hält und hält (ihr wisst schon, worauf ich hinaus will).
Im Grunde ist er der Ninja unter den Make-up-Artikeln. Ich werde nie wieder abends ausgehen ohne ihn unter mein Augen Make-up aufzutragen. Es gibt wirklich nichts, was ich an diesem Produkt auszusetzen hätte, außer, dass ich jetzt eine Sucht nach Paint Pots entwickelt habe und jede Farbe haben möchte. Das Leben kann so schwer sein...
